Why We Built This Site
Maryland gives the public meaningful access to court and government records, but the practical question is always the same: which office holds the piece you need. A warrant touches at least three places. The issuing court sets the charge and any bond. The sheriff's office serves the process and can describe what it serves. The clerk keeps the case file that shows what happened afterward.
Garrett County adds a wrinkle that surprises people from other states. There is no city court, no town bench, and no justice-of-the-peace layer to check. Statewide warrant searches do not exist here either. Maryland's criminal justice systems are restricted, and the state case index shows selected docket information rather than a complete file.
The result is easy to misread. A person can check one office, find nothing, and conclude the matter is closed when it is not. We wrote these pages to make that sequence clear.

What We Cannot Do
This is a private reference site with no connection to any Maryland court, sheriff's office, or state agency. The limits are worth stating plainly.
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot recall, quash, or clear a warrant, and no website can
- We cannot accept a bond payment or any fine on behalf of a court
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a hearing date, or a walk-in appointment
- We cannot give legal advice or apply a warrant to your situation
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or listing is current today
Only the court that issued a warrant can confirm its status, and only the sheriff's office can describe what it served. We point readers to those offices; the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages here carry a search box supplied by a third-party provider. Those companies run their own services, set their own prices, and control their own results. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, and that revenue keeps this site free to read.
We do not control what a partner charges or what it returns, and a partner result is not an official warrant check. Treat it as one starting point among several, then confirm anything that matters with the issuing court or the sheriff's office.
